Large insect housing tub
A modified HDPE 70L tub with air ventilation in sides and lid.
– Great for housing or breeding crickets, woodies, insects.
Ventilation made from aluminium mosquito mesh, riveted and siliconed to the tub to prevent escapees.
Some have a removable access point to allow easier feeding.
Bugs Alive used these tubs for growing crickets and woodies, but have since changed our production system.
They have been used, but are in excellent condition.
They are made from high quality HDPE plastic, so are UV stable and handle regular washing.
These tubs retail for ~$45 + lid $13 = $58, if you can find them.
There is over 2 hours of work to convert them, plus materials. Total cost ~$130 each to make.
We’re asking less than cost recovery.
We’ll include 6 cardboard inserts for your insects to live on.
