BSF Breeding 'Love' Cage

Description

Black Soldier Fly Love cages are for breeding Black Soldier Flies.

Approx. dimensions: 1.6m high x 1m x 1m

They have a 3 sided zip on one side to allow large items in/out, and a entry tube which can be folded off to prevent flies escaping.

This Love cage is usually used with a ‘Dark cage’ where pupae hatch into flies and every couple of days you move flies (using light as an attractant) into the Love cage to mate and lay eggs.

The breeder places flies or pupae into the Love cage and leave in a sunny position to allow flies to mate and lay eggs.

An attractant will be required to get flies to lay where the breeder wants the eggs.

They require two braces to stretch the top, hang from the ceiling or a frame and roll up to approximately 250 x 250 x 250mm and weighs approx. 700grams.
